TEXAS A&M GAME MAY BE POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER...

Maybe some rest will help the Tide.

Tide is # 8 in AP, 9th in Coaches, and 7th in CBS Polls

Snow and ice are likely in the College Station, TX area today. Highways are already not passable. On Wednesday, an ice storm is forecasted for the site. Given the weather and the current COVID problems on campus, it is questionable if the game on Wednesday the 17th will be played. No official word has been released by the SEC office regarding the situation. I wonder if Alabama might benefit from some time off to help injured players rest and concentrate on therapy. No word from Nate Oats on what is occurring in Tuscaloosa. I would drive to College Station, but the weather is just not going to allow me to do so. Of course, much of the bad weather is north of Texas to set the record straight. If you've ever been in Oklahoma or Texas in a "blue northerner," you wouldn't drive either.

The SEC is going to have problems scheduling make-up games. The game with TAMU is important to Alabama to put a stranglehold on the SEC Crown. Alabama is now 12-1 in the league. That's a full three games ahead in the loss column. LSU, Arkansas, and Florida have 4 losses. Looking at the 4 loss teams' upcoming schedule, you find Arkansas has Alabama and Florida at home and then has to play LSU on the road. LSU has Arkansas on the road, AU on the road, and a big game with suddenly surging Ole Miss on the road.  Florida is a mess. They have two games postponed, and one is against LSU on the road, but the Gators also have Arkansas, Auburn, and Missouri on the road. Say goodnight, Florida. Before Alabama travels to Fayetville, either Arkansas or LSU will be done.

Alabama needs to win. Just win, baby, as the late Al Davis once said.
