      What a great game. 'Bama wins 80-79. Once again the number 80 is magical for the Tide.  Despite Trendon Watford's 30 points and dominating performance, he missed the one that meant the most.  The Tigers missed a put-back and the celebration began.  Alabama's record is now 24-6 and 19-2 2 against SEC opponents. Alabama now awaits the Selection Committees' announcement about the Tournament. Look for Alabama to be a two-seed and not a one. The Selection Committee is in love with the Big 10

        Tip-of-Hat Award to Keon Ellis. Ellis drained a huge three-pointer from the corner and then blocked what appeared to be a sure lay-up. He also came down with the ball in the final moments of the game. For the game, Ellis had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and only 1 turnover. Jaden Shackleford led the 'Bama scoring with 21, including 5 three-point baskets, and 4 assists. It was his three-point shooting that kept the Tide alive in the second half. Jahvon Quinerly may have had his best game. He had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Quinerly and Shackleford each had only 1 turnover. Herb Jones had 13 points, 11 boards, and 6 assists, and no turnovers. It was his best game this season. He is going to be key in the NCAA's due to Bruner's obvious liabilities.

       This team has never say die attitude. Petty was as happy as if he'd played a great game. Oats had his team stick to their game-plan and it worked.  Alabama is a great team. This is a special year. We are lucky to have been able to see it.
