JOHNSON CANNOT SALVAGE HIS CAREER AT 'BAMA NOW...

They shoot horses, don’t they?  This is the most embarrassing season of Alabama basketball possible and I’ve seen them play for over sixty years. This team has no heart. They have no coaching and it’s time to put them down. If the Athletic Director cares anything about Alabama basketball he should fire Johnson immediately and let John Pelphry finish the season. I’d give him hazardous duty pay, but lethargy isn’t going to hurt you.  No sugar coating this season. It is time to end the charade known as Avery Johnson.  I know that my friend Anthony Grant wasn’t the greatest coach. But he didn’t embarrass himself or our program. His players competed. Johnson’s players are lost. In a recent interview, Tevin Mack said he didn’t view today’s game as “must win”. Seriously, exactly what did he think it was?  A trip down the yellow brick road?

Once again the Tide folds at the end of the season. Only a bona fide top ten draft choice got Alabama into the dance, and Colin Sexton didn’t suit up today. Avery Johnson has no excuses.  Alabama basketball is now labeled officially horrible. The Tide is not on the outside looking in. They couldn’t even find a window. Alabama isn’t worthy to be considered to play in any postseason event, but they might HAVE to play in the NIT. Alabama draws Ole Miss in the SECT.  The winner of that game plays Kentucky.

If Dandy Don were still alive he’d say, “turn out the lights, the parties over.” I hope Avery Johnson’s tenure at Bama is over. Tide fan deserves better, and we pay good money for better than this catastrophe. At the being of the season, I predicted Alabama would win 18 games. I will be off by one. Here is one thing I will always remember about Johnson. He always said  – Roll Tide. It is the only thing he got correct.
